I started this blog in 2023 after failing for several years. The choice of domain level and platform were strategic as I tried to use this as a pilot project to see if it was worth the effort and resources. The goal is to use the blog to share all that I have acquired along the way.

Blogging Has Come a Long Way

I couldn't succeed in the past because I didn't treat blogging as a serious business. It doesn't even occur to me that blogging has lots of potentials. But I set up this blog to show that you can make money blogging if you have the right attitude.

Truth be told, a larger percentage of businesses fail at the incubator stage. Blogging is no exception! Over 95% of blogs fail.

I failed in my initial attempts because I lacked the right attitude - I didn't treat blogging as a real business. Along the way, I usually get overwhelmed with the burden of sustaining and maintaining the blogs.

I remember my last blog, it was a WordPress blog and self-hosted. But because of the above-mentioned challenge and others, I had to put it on hold.

What I have discovered

I have discovered that to be successful in the blogging business you must treat it as one from day one. You must wear the toga of a businessman/marketer/salesperson/entrepreneur combined to generate revenue as soon as possible. This is the only way to sustain and maintain a blogging business in 2023, or else you will be out of business sooner than later. Monetization is very important for the sustenance of a blogging business.

A Successful Blogger is not a Writer

Yes, you heard that! To be successful in the blogging business, you must see yourself as a business owner and act so. This is one bridge many couldn't cross. I was like that for many years but that is in the past now. You have to transition from being a writer to a business owner.
